Week 1 EOC: My Voice

My name is Gerardo Perez; I came all the way from Venezuela to the United States to pursue my dream. Sound is my passion; capturing, creating and shaping it it’s my art. This passion is divided into two parts, the music and the sound itself. “Music” is something that almost everyone, if not everyone, loves; there are different styles, different backgrounds, and different audiences for each style, but they all communicate something and speak an international language. On the other hand we have “Sound”, not music, which is a commonly overlooked part off media, which ranges from movies, to commercials, to video games. My objective with the music side is to help my clients find their best possible sound by providing each one personalized attention, the right equipment, and advice on how to achieve their desired sound. While my objective with the sound part is to create the best experience that is able to complement the image on the screen, and submerge the audience to a deeper level of realism, whether it’s in a movie or video game. I still have a lot to learn, which is why I’m constantly in the seeking for knowledge, but what I may lack in experience, I compensate in determination, people skills, and ambition.
