Week 7 EOC: Restaurant Pitch

Joysticks
4450 N. Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89129.

7,388 SF

Joysticks it’s going to be a small family oriented restaurant at day, and a great place for teenagers and young adults at night. What makes it different from every other place is that it will have lots of video game consoles, from Xbox 360, to PS3, Wii, Wii U, and in the future, the PS4, and all of the popular video games; as well as some foosball, air hockey and pool tables. It will of course have a varied menu, lots of snacks, and for the people over 21, some alcoholic drinks.

At day, my target market will be suburban, “stay at home” moms (or dads). They will take the kids to “Joysticks”, and while their kids are having fun, enjoying the latest video games with their friends in a safe and friendly environment, the moms will have a nice place to take a cup of coffee, have a bite to eat, and catch up on the latest’s gossips.

At night, my target markets will teenagers and young adults. They will come, maybe after school or work, to hang out with all of their friends, and make some new ones while sharing the same passion, video games. Some of them will only come as spectators, others will come just for the foosball, air hockey or pool table, and some will adventure and try to prove who’s the best at their favorite games (or maybe try some new ones). While they do all of this they can enjoy the food, the snacks, and for the ones over 21, alcoholic drinks.

Every week, Joysticks will host video games tournaments. Joysticks will try to vary what games will be featured in every tournament, and sometimes it will be left to the public’s decision. And also, twice a month, Joysticks will have a “throwback” night for the older or nostalgic people, in which all the games and consoles will be classics, like the Atari, Nintendo 64, GameCube, PS1, PS2.

Finally, Joysticks will do their best to have the most popular and current video games and consoles, as well as the best classics for the Throwback night, but will be always open to take suggestions from the audience on what games to acquire.
A small family oriented restaurant, its unique thing will be that it will have lots of video game consoles. My target market will suburban moms, they will get together to catch up, while their kids are going to be hooked up on the video games. We are going to host video game tournaments, with prizes.
